The Coalition owns and manages an inventory of 152 housing units
including single family homes and duplex apartments as well as a two
apartment complexes. All properties are located in Johnson County, KS.
Several homes are retrofitted for wheelchair accessibility and modified
to meet the requirements of persons with special needs.
Rents are typically much lower than the average for the Johnson County
area. Section-8 vouchers are accepted.
Housing eligibility:
- Tenant income cannot exceed 80% of the area median income.
(The area median income for a family of four in the Kansas City area is:
$68,400. This amount changes based on the number of individuals in the
household. Please call if you have questions concerning your eligibility.)
- Cost of rent and utilities should not exceed 30% of the gross family
income. .
($430 rent + $50 electricity) x 3 = $1,440 per month
This is to ensure that rents are not an excessive burden on household
budgets.
- There is a $15.00 application fee credited toward first months
rent at lease-up.
